JAMES EASTON brings his expertise as a recording engineer, producer and master engineer to Abbeyville Road. He has been working in the recording field in various capacities since 1980 when he opened his first studio. He attended Anderson Conservatory and Rutgers University where he studied music composition, arranging, jazz improvisation, and guitar performance under the guidance of Ted Dunbar and Pat Martino. Jim served as a professor of classical and jazz studies at the Governor’s School for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University. Over the years he has toured and recorded with the band Third Stream and has appeared with Spyro Gyra, Judy Collins, Earth Wind & Fire, Phil Wilson, Livingston Taylor, the Coasters, Dave Stahl and Bob Mintzer just to name a few. Former owner/founder retired 2012.
KENNY BLEKICKI has had a distinguished career as a performer, arranger, conductor, composer, lyricist, stage manager, director and educator. He holds degrees from Lebanon Valley College, San Diego State University, and the University of Michigan and has taught in the public schools of Pennsylvania and California. He has also worked as Music Director in the theatre department of Albright College. Kenny has performed with Jimmy Dorsey, Ray Charles, Sammy Davis, Andy Williams, Al Martino, Nat King Cole, Rosemary Clooney, and many more. He is the proud recipient of the United Way of America Second Century Initiative for Innovation and Excellence award for his composition, “Let’s All Band Together”. He served as pit conductor for Circle Arts in Los Angeles and has worked extensively in musical theatre on both coasts.
ALEX KOPPENHEFFER is owner and chief engineer of Highland Audio in Reading, PA. He is a graduate of the prestigious Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona and brings his exceptional skills to Abbeyville Road Studios after having worked on the West Coast as well as in Nashville with the likes of Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood. In addition, Alex has designed sound for many of the new shows seen internationally on Carnival Cruise Lines. He has played an integral part in the installation of the new state of the art equipment here at Abbeyville Road.
JON-PAUL PAINTON is a graduate of Full Sail University with a degree in Recording Arts. He has run front of house sound in many venues over the last ten years and has worked as a studio and performing musician, teacher, engineer and producer. Jon-Paul is an expert on Pro Audio gear and has recently crossed over into the business aspects of professional music. He, in partnership with Chris Greenberg has founded Gravity Wave Productions, a premier production company on the East Coast. In addition, Jon–Paul is co-founder and national sales representative for Love Tree Amplifiers, manufacturers of high-end guitar amps.
